Manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, this model 428 rocking chair has the recognisable oyster-shaped seat made of solid elm with beech frame and spindles all of which have been sprayed grey.

The small blue printed metallic ‘Made in England’ label is evident on the back of the seat and the underside is stamped with the British Standards kitemark "BS 1960 G 2056" (BS 1960 referring to domestic furniture constructed mainly of wood).

Structurally, the chair is in very good condition with a spray-painted finish that is glossy and even.
