A simply formed tea bowl - possibly Japanese. This beautiful bowl has rounded sides covered with a lustrous dark brown glaze with ‘oil spot’ markings. The glaze stops above the foot ring exposing the coarse-grained, stoneware body.
The maker’s impressed back stamp is evident to the underside.
In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or loss of glaze.
