A solid wood milking stool, possibly of French origin, featuring a thick hexagonal seat with hand carved surfaces and circular cut-out for easy lifting which sits on three wooden legs. The legs are joined to the seat without glue or fixings - a thread is cut into the tops of the legs which then screw into the underside.

This functional piece is in very good vintage condition with a rich, dark brown patina. The legs are splayed for stability and structurally the stool is sound.
