Originally designed by Welch in 1961, the Hobart nutcracker formed part of the Campden range of cast iron pieces. With a matt black finish, the nutcracker takes the from of a clamp, with a screw mechanism and double-ended handle.

The nutcracker forms part of the permanent collection at the V&A.

This piece is offered in excellent vintage condition and the recognisable triangular paper label from The Design Centre is evident to the underside. The nutcracker comes with its original box which shows signs of age-related wear.
