All Purpose Windsor Chair, Ercol

120.00

Since its inception in 1920 by Lucian Ercolani, Ercol has produced an array of timeless designs, none more so than those included in its Windsor range.  Manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, this model 391 all purpose Windsor chair - also known as the Chiltern chair - has a curved horizontal seatback, two uprights and three spindles rising from the under frame in beech and a shaped elm seat.

The small blue printed metallic paper label is partially evident and helps date this chair to c. 1954/7.

Structurally, the chair is in very good condition with a pleasing waxed finish.
